that's fair ... half half ;-). Aba went with Omer, Mai and Maayan to visit the ski resort in Orres. Mama and Tomer stood home to clean the appartment ... . What sacrifice ... but when you love, you don't count, right ?! So it seems that is was great fun to take the cable car and have then a great, gorgeous view over the nature ...
Back home, we had all lunch together ... than direction even more south ... . We're heading to "Castagniers", a small village, 20 km from Nice away. Côte d'Azur we're arriving ! Good night, laila tov, my wonderful family !

21th of August ... today we're going to walk until the "Cascade de la Pisse", something like the "Pouring waterfall", the translation is more or less wrong, what do you want, it's difficult to translate names and you don't do that normally, hum ? So why we do ? Anyway, it was great with or without translation :)). Such a beautiful, peacefully walk, with so many beautiful things to see ...
Small brook, just next to our path ... butterflies having fun in the sun ... and tired Omer ... :)).

One word ... she's fresh !!!

After we left the "Cascade de la Pisse", we continue our way to the dam of "Serre Ponçon" ...
Mama loves the colour combination ... it all fits to the background ... what do you want ... through an artist's eye ... everything is possible.
And before it's getting totally dark ... quick a jump to the "Demoiselles décoiffées" ...
What a day, right ?! It's true we have a lot of energy and we want just to share it with you, my wonderful family. For now, good night, sleep well ... laila tov ... and sweet dreams, lot's of love,

20th of August ... Digne-Les-Bains is known for its thermae, which treat breathing problems and rhumatism, but we didn't go for that ! It has a famous museum, if you interested in geology : the "Musée - Promenade" "Museum - Walk path". So interesting ! You learn when the different earth plates got separated, the different evolution periods, what happened to the earth 1 million, 2 millions years ago and what might happen in the future !
Fossiles, stones, dinosaurs, limulidae, nautiles ...Tomer is overwhelmed ... . Wow ! We don't hear any teenager complains. This is just great ! Have a look into their website ... a mine of information !
Aquariums ... and a japanese garden ... Mama is in her element ...
Lunch-time !!! Mmmmh, simply meal, but very tasty ! The waiter was nagging Mama : "The sun disappear since you arrive !" Normal ! Mama's smile makes even the sun jealous ! Nananananère ! Ätschibätsch ! Chincharavincha !
On the way back home, we past by a canyon ... and "La baie Saint Michel" with its chapel, idyllic and so beautiful !!!
Quick meal, news ... for the weather forecast ... and then "dodo !" Tomorrow is going to be a long day ... we're going to discover a waterfall, the Serre Ponçon's dam and ... you'll see ! Good night, laila tov, my wonderful family !

19th of August ... It's Maayan's birthday ... and what is her gift ?!? A Whole day of donkey ride !!! Yeah !!! And she loves it !!! You'll see ...
Mama found a place, pretty near to where we stay, to rent donkeys to hike with ... have a look on their site : www.montanes.fr . Mme Bénédicte Bégué who runs this place is very nice and professionnal ! She knows everything about donkeys and the surroundings and she rented us two donkeys for the price of one (actually she wanted the other donkey to have fresh air ... but at the end he carried for us things, too), so we gave her a nice "tip" ;-).
So, "Bichette", the mother" and her 4 year-old son "Câlin" accompanied us during almost 7 hours ! They are "Ânes de Provence", that means "donkeys from the Provence" ... they are grey and have the cross of Saint André on their back.
Bichette et Câlin were very happy to go out for a walk with us, because then, they gat much "better" food :)). Delicious food is just everywhere ... and it took us about 3 hours to walk 2 km !!! Bichette stopped every 2 meters to eat !
For a moment Aba was so upset ... he was tearing Bichette with all his force ... and our Aba is not weak at all :-) ! ... but Bichette didn't even move an inch ! Mama should have tape that ! Too pity, that she didn't ... she always say that Aba doesn't know how to speak with donkeys ... who's idea was to buy carrots ???! Look at the videos ... click on the pictures !
Oops, it's raining ... but never mind, we just found a shelter at the very same moment when the first drops fell down ! Isn't that wonderful ?!
It was raining very shortly ! Anyway, the weather can change very quickly in the mountains ... so we're not worry, you see. As we return to the departure point, Bénédicte was waiting for us. She doesn't only offer hiking with donkeys, but she's doing accomodations, too. But not the usual way ... it's a nomade camp : yurt, tipi, travel trailer ... in the middle of nature, no electricity and no running water ! It's the sun who heats you your shower water ... .Hum, we don't think, that Mama is going to appreciate that, hi, hi, hi.
But other people do ... we saw today on "Envoyé spécial" a documentary just about Bénédicte Bégué and the way she lives, what a coincidence !!!! She's famous :)), wow, that's good ! And in reality she's just the way she is , like we saw her today on TV !! Here an article about it :

16th of August ... The appartement Aba is renting from his friend is just great ! It's big, there's a lot of place and it has everything a family of 6 persons needs ! The kitchen is totally equipped : microwave, dishwasher, toaster, coffee machine, keddle, fridge, oven ... Mama is overwhelmed ! And it's also very clean ! You have TV and radio ... . Honestly we don't know what this appartement doesn't have.
And the surrounding is just beautiful, you can't have a better place for holidays ! A paradise for VTT, hiking and swimming. The "Serre Ponçon" lake, the biggest artificial one in Europe is just 5 minutes walk away !
So after walking all day to discover the sunny Embrun and its surroundings, what do you think we're doing tomorrow ?!
The Tourist Office of Embrun gave us good advice for hiking tours ... you'll see ...
Aba and Mama went for a drink at night ... so romantique, don't you think so ?!?
